<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Juvenile Relief Worker <br />Guaranteed Attendance <br />Class Code: <br />Program <br />157 <br />Bargaining Unit: 09 - Temporary Employees <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$18.93 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br /> ***BARGAINING UNIT: 09 - TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES*** <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 04 Protective Services Juvenile <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Monitors juvenile offenders in the daily activities of a shelter care program; performs related work as <br />required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the direct supervision of the GAP program supervisor who assigns work, establishes goals <br />and reviews work for conformance to established standards and statutes. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, may <br />oversee the duties of volunteers assisting in the programs. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />Depending on program area, not all duties listed below will be required. <br />1.Provides orientation for incoming youth and assists in making the initial adjustment to the program; <br />provides ongoing direction to youth; acts as a positive role model for youth; attends to daily needs <br />of juveniles. <br />2.Prepares paperwork required by policy for juvenile offenders; supervises and writes evaluations of <br />individual juvenile's behavior and performance as observed by daily contact and supervision <br />methods including daily grading/scoring; writes behavior/incident reports as required. <br />3.Assists in the intake process; may conduct routine wand or clothed pat searches; assesses <br />whether juvenile is in need of medical attention; secures juvenile's personal effects, currency, and <br />contraband and issues receipt; prepares necessary paperwork. <br />4.Maintains order and respect for authority; observes and anticipates potentially hostile behavior of <br />juvenile offenders and takes necessary preventative action. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
