Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />1.Receives and transfers business calls on a multiple-line system; provides information relating to <br />county, department, and/or program services; transfers or refers calls to proper source; interprets <br />office policy to convey information about services. <br />2.Greets the general public and/or clients and directs individuals to appropriate staff; assists the <br />public in completing forms and applications. <br />3.Schedule appointments for clients with appropriate staff members; maintains office calendars and <br />schedules. <br />4.Effectively operates specialized office equipment; orders office supplies and equipment, and <br />maintains inventory; assists in planning, coordinating and organizing office relocations. <br />5.Types/word processes a variety of documents from draft or dictation into suitable formats; <br />composes routine correspondence; sorts data and creates reports using appropriate computer <br />functions; proofreads text and corrects for grammar, clarity, punctuation, spelling, and format. <br />6.Monitors, gathers and documents information in accordance with program requirements; posts <br />records and makes adjustments or corrections to records; compiles and maintains data for <br />budgeting and billing purposes; processes transactions; computes or verifies data, fees or <br />payments; prepares and makes cash deposits. <br />7.Effectively uses a variety of computer systems and software; enters data associated with <br />department reports, provision of client services, client histories, quantitative data, and personnel <br />reports; identifies and resolves simple hardware and software problems. <br />8.Creates, retrieves from, and maintains complex and specialized filing systems; conducts file and <br />record searches; indexes and cross indexes records; logs documents for public record; updates <br />and purges files, according to department/division guidelines. <br />9.Determines program eligibility according to program policies. <br />10.Performs health screening tests and measurements such as height/ length, weight, head <br />circumference, and hemoglobin. <br />11.Provides basic nutritional assessment of individual diets and reviews diet histories with clients. <br />12.Provides nutritional counseling and develops appropriate nutrition intervention plans within <br />guidelines established by department staff. <br />13.Assists in conducting basic educational programs for clients interested in nutritional information <br />and diet improvement. <br />14.Assists clients in meeting health and social needs by providing medical/social referrals. <br />15.Uses Windows-based data system to enter client information, record education data, schedule <br />follow-up appointments and print food instruments. <br />16.Drive to outlying clinic locations to provide clients services as assigned / scheduled. <br />17.Participates in program audits and program evaluations. <br />18.Performs other related duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school or equivalent; AND <br />2.At least one (1) year of satisfactory work experience or advanced coursework or training relevant <br />to the position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Must possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Class C Oregon driver's license and <br />> <br />maintain an acceptable driving record. <br />Must possess and maintain proof of personal automobile liability insurance, at a minimum, in the <br />> <br />amount required by Oregon Law \[ORS Chapter 806\]. <br />Ability to lift up to 30 pounds several times daily. <br />> <br />Successful completion of all Basic WIC training modules within first three (3) months of hire. <br />> <br />Successful completion of all mandatory Marion County Health Department training within three (3) <br />> <br />months of hire. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
