Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school or equivalent; AND <br />2.Three (3) years experience on voice communication systems, network and/or cellular, including <br />switch management, cabling and equipment installation and repair; OR <br />3.Completion of the County's Telecommunications Apprenticeship Program; OR <br />4.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Class C Oregon driver's license. <br />> <br />(May be modified under exceptional circumstances.) <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Oregon Limited Energy Technician <br />> <br />License (Class B or greater). <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Considerable knowledge of voice communication systems switch hardware and software; peripheral <br />equipment, electronic and key systems; system cabling, pagers and other telephone lines. <br />Ability to provide customer service; manage a telecommunications function; work from written and oral <br />instructions; distinguish color coded cables; use and operate hand, electrical and mechanical tools <br />necessary for telecommunications repair; operate a motor vehicle; and develop and maintain a <br />cooperative working relationship with other employees, agencies and the public. <br />ADOPTED: <br />12/88 <br />REVISED: <br />06/94; 08/94; 10/94; 08/99; 07/04; 12/06; 05/20; 07/20 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />01/11; 05/20; 07/20 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br />
