<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Treasury Specialist <br />Class Code: <br />046 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$19.49 - $26.11 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt06 Administrative SupportTreasurer <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs a variety of administrative and technical level treasury duties including cash management and <br />investment functions related to banking; responsible for electronic payments and receipts, tax turnover, <br />backs up the County Treasurer in his/her absence; and performs other related duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the County Treasurer or other designated supervisor, who <br />assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews results obtained for compliance with department and <br />program policies, procedures and goals. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, may <br />exercise lead direction over other administrative or office staff. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Responsible for the posting of credits and debits to County bank accounts. Using a variety of <br />original source documents creates, verifies and uploads journals in excel for the bank credits and <br />debits and posts into the Oracle general ledger. <br />2.Responsible for auditing and recommending corrective action ensuring county compliance with <br />information security standards such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). <br />Develops and conducts mandatory training regarding merchant compliance for county employees. <br />Manages training and compliance records. <br />3.Prepare accounts payables for payment including determining cost centers, account numbers and <br />cost accounting information, scanning documents, and matching invoices to purchase orders as <br />appropriate. <br />4.Maintains financial and statistical records on an automated system; prepares, revises and <br />analyzes complex computer spreadsheets and reports; researches and abstracts technical data. <br />5.Prepares the monthly distribution of taxes from the tax department to the taxing districts in Marion <br />County. Audits the distribution and transfer funds to district bank accounts as per ORS guidelines. <br />6.Reconciles bank accounts daily.
