<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Volunteer Services <br />Coordinator <br />Class Code: <br />136 <br />Bargaining Unit: 13 - Non-Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$1,896.00 - $2,541.60 Biweekly <br />$4,108.00 - $5,506.80 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 Professionals Business Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Provides planning, development and coordination of volunteers and is responsible for the standardization <br />and consistency of all aspects of volunteer services including recruitment, placement, orientation, <br />training, management, and volunteer emergency response. May perform other work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an administrative manager or a designee, who approves goals <br />and evaluates performance metrics through conferences, reports, and observation of results obtained. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this class. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Oversees and coordinates volunteer services by developing consistent standards, as well as <br />maintaining, developing and implementing policies and procedures for the management of <br />volunteers in county departments. <br />2.Maintains timely county volunteer records database including individual volunteer records and <br />position descriptions. <br />3.Provides guidance to departments in the development of volunteer position descriptions that clarify <br />the scope of duties. <br />4.Recruits and refers volunteers to county departments and programs. <br />5.Develops and conducts orientation for new volunteers. <br />6.Provides support and resources to departments to develop positions, recruit, train, supervise, <br />evaluate and recognize volunteers. <br />7.Develops and administers recognition programs for volunteers. <br />8.Works and consults with department management, advisory groups, other government agencies, <br />and nonprofit agencies to coordinate, develop and implement consistent volunteer program goals, <br />standards, procedures and policies. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
