<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Records Specialist <br />Class Code: <br />130 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$17.82 - $23.85 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt06 Administrative Support Multiple Departments <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Process and maintain various legal and related records, documents, and files for the department, <br />requiring a high degree of accuracy and judgment based on established procedures; performs related <br />duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of an administrative supervisor, who sets goals, assigns work and <br />reviews performance for accuracy and conformance to department standards. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Interpret, confirm, and input data from a variety of records such as court orders and other <br />documents into automated systems; analyze information for accuracy and statutory compliance; <br />confer with originating agency to clarify data if necessary. <br />2.Retrieve and disseminate information; search records and prepare reports. Track and update <br />youth warrant status. Coordinate and track youth referred to peer courts, diversion, National Traffic <br />Safety Institute (NTSI) Neighbor to Neighbor and Comprehensive Offender Management System <br />(COMS). <br />3.Provide information and assistance to law enforcement, court personnel, probation officers, and <br />the public; disseminate daily court calendars; monitor release of information per ORS and <br />department guidelines; resolve questions concerning case files. <br />4.Establish, compile, maintain and update department files, lists and reports; gather and track <br />information and data from attorneys, county departments, law enforcement agencies and <br />computerized databases and population groups; including Juvenile Justice Information System <br />(JJIS) Oregon eCourt Case Information (OECI), Computerized Referral Information System (CRIS) <br />and Laserfiche.
