Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />5.Combine files, repair and expunge record files from database and notify appropriate agencies. <br />6.Certify statements, Offender Information and Sentencing Computation (OISC) form, of time served <br />for youth placed in detention prior to bringing adjudicated on Department of Corrections <br />commitments. <br />7.May be required to maintain Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certification and backup LEDS <br />representative responsibilities. <br />8.May update the local automated data system to ensure accuracy of fingerprint records in <br />coordination with State ID Services. <br />9.Prepare correspondence relating to handling of referrals and respond to request for information <br />from a variety of entities including various federal and state agencies, including military recruiters. <br />10.Participate in analysis and recommendation of new computerized applications and software, <br />including system changes and upgrades. <br />11.Perform other related duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school; AND <br />2.Two (2) years of general clerical and data entry experience including six (6) months of experience <br />processing criminal justice records. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />May be required to obtain and maintain Law Enforcement Data System certification. <br />> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Knowledge of criminal justice information systems, rules, regulations and information contained therein; <br />data entry procedures, methods, equipment, and general office practices and procedures. <br />Ability to perform technical work requiring a high degree of accuracy; use of independent judgment; <br />correctly interpret and apply policies and procedures; effectively engage in problem solving processes; <br />communicate effectively in both oral and written form; establish and maintain cooperative working <br />relationships with those contacted in the course of work; handle sensitive and confidential information <br />with discretion; and act calmly and effectively in emergency and stressful situations. <br />Skill in using a variety of data processing systems; word processing, spreadsheets and database <br />software applications; keyboarding skills at a speed and accuracy level necessary for adequate job <br />performance. <br />ADOPTED: <br />12/92 <br />REVISED: <br />05/97; 09/03; 03/12; 08/20 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID...9/22/2020 <br /> <br />
