Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Determines client eligibility for release consideration and interviews eligible clients for possible <br />> <br />release determination; <br />Makes appropriate release decision/recommendations on eligible clients; <br />> <br />Fingerprints arrestees; <br />> <br />Operates RAIN/LEDS computer terminal to obtain necessary information on clients; <br />> <br />Maintains records necessary to the effective operation of the program; <br />> <br />Learns to perform security searches of arrests and areas occupied by clients; <br />> <br />Trains in maintaining order, discipline and security of adults in custody; <br />> <br />Trains in supervising adults in custody in the changing of linen and cleaning of cell blocks; <br />> <br />Trains in escorting and supervising adults in custody in the recreation area. <br />> <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school or equivalent (GED). <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Must possess a current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable <br />> <br />driving history. <br />Positions in this class may be required to work rotating shifts, subject to call back or other <br />> <br />alternative work schedules. <br />Candidates will be subject to a personal background investigation, including, but not limited to, <br />> <br />criminal and driving histories. <br />Ability to pass required psychological, medical/drug, and physical abilities evaluations. <br />> <br />CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br />1.Must meet State Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) requirements: <br /> a. United States Citizen within one year of employment; <br /> b. At least 21 years of age at the time of employment; <br /> c. Declared as able to perform the physical duties required by the occupation (all <br /> disciplines police, corrections, parole and probation) by an appropriately licensed health <br /> care professional.Vision and hearing standards are specific to disciplines. <br /> d. Of good moral character, without legal conduct involving moral turpitude, dishonesty, <br /> fraud, deceit, misrepresentation, and conviction of drug and/or sex crimes. <br /> 2.
