Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Thorough knowledge of principles, methods and techniques of effective administration, including <br />personnel utilization and administration, budget accounting and office management; large enterprise <br />resource planning (ERP) payroll systems; generally accepted accounting principles and professional <br />standards developed by the Government Accounting Standards Board; statistical methods, principles of <br />cost accounting and financial reporting, principles and practices of public administration; federal, state, <br />and local statutes; rules and regulations applicable to government accounting. <br />Skill and ability to organize, direct and implement an effective fiscal reporting program; communicate <br />effectively both orally and in writing; research and analyze complex accounting and financial data; <br />prepare clear and concise financial reports; maintain ledgers and journals; interpret, explain, evaluate and <br />recommend finance department accounting and financial policies and procedures.
