Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy; and completion of one (1) year of <br />rotating internship in an approved; AND <br />2.Possession of a license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment. <br />3.Additional training or experience preferred: one academic year of graduate study in approved <br />school of public health and completion of a public health residency program; OR <br />4.Two (2) years experience in public health related medical work. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Must possess, or able to obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Class 4 Oregon driver's license. <br />> <br />At time of appointment, must become a member of Marion-Polk Medical Society and Salem <br />> <br />Hospital Medical Staff. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY <br />Knowledge of: theory and practice of epidemiology and of clinical aspects of communicable diseases; <br />knowledge of public health bacteriology and immunology; <br />Skill and ability in: making differential diagnosis, particularly of communicable diseases, and in <br />determining the need for and instituting precautionary control measures; speaking effectively, to prepare <br />concise, effective and accurate medical, administrative or educational reports, recommendations, articles, <br />bulletins or manuals; develop cooperation and support from professional, official and civic organizations <br />and individuals. <br />ADOPTED: <br />01/91 <br />REVISED: <br />01/91; 11/02; 04/08; 02/18 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />01/11; 11/17; 09/20 <br />http://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecI...10/12/2020 <br />
