Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />3.Locates appropriate health resources to assist persons served with their needs. May <br />require serving as an advocate on behalf of persons served with third party payers, <br />pharmacies or the medical community as needed. <br />4.Maintains knowledge of community resources to promote the wellness of persons <br />served; provides referrals to case management and nursing staff as necessary. <br />5.May assist with health care educational programs and community projects for identified <br />populations. <br />6.May administer urinalysis for drug screening, as required for case managers. <br />7.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; AND <br />2.Two (2) years in a medical office environment, customer service, pharmacology, <br />medical billing/coding, basic computer skills, and experience with office equipment; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES <br />Ability to communicate in verbal and written form clearly and effectively to person served, staff <br />and the public; possess good decision making and advocacy skills; exercise independent <br />judgment and make decisions within established policies and procedures; prepare and <br />present effective written and verbal reports; relate effectively with community agencies and <br />resources and to function as a team member; act in a professional manner and maintain <br />professional working relationships; operate computer software and other office equipment. <br />ADOPTED: <br />04/99 <br />REVISED: <br />03/02; 12/04; 04/07; 03/15; 11/20 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />03/15; 11/20 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecI...11/23/2020 <br /> <br />
