SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION DETAI,L SHEET

August 31, 1992

APPLICANT: HAROLD M. SMITE
SITE NUMBER; 92-2999
QRIGINAL S¥STE~

Your site has been found suitable for a STANDARD ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL
SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installa-
tion of your septic system.

1. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 10QQ
gallons.

2. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at
450 qal.~pns pe~ day. Based on soil conditions observed on this
site, the disposal field will be sized at .1.50 lineal feet per 150
gallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of ~
feet of disposal field will be required for your propose~-'develop-
meat. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and
on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125
feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed
level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface.

3. The disposal field shall be constructed with serial distribution
with a minimum trench depth of.~4 inches and a maximum trench
depth of 24 inches. There must be at least 12 inches of backfill
over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground
surface.

A groundwater interceptor is required as part of this system. This
interceptor trench must be constructed a minimum twelve (12) inches wide by 36
inches deep with 30 inches of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch smooth
wall perforated pipe. The interceptor must be located at least ten (10} feet
upslope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight, non-
perforated pipe beside or below the disposal field. A separation of 25 feet is
required from the septic tank if the tank is located upslope of the groundwa-
ter interceptor.

This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system
must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho-
rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is
proposed for a different area on the property.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS~
This standard system must be constructed within the immediate area and
up slope of the upper (northerly) soil test pit. Soil conditions are
marginal, so summer season construction is recommended. There is a
moderate rock hazard associated with drainfield construction. Rock
larger than six inches must be removed from backfill material. Refer to
the enclosed setback list which outlines minimum separation distances
between components of septic systems and other features.

THIS IS NOT A PERMIT TO INSTALL THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. DO NOT, INSTALL THE SYSTEM
UNTIL A VALID PERMI~ HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THIS OFFICE.
