Page 3 <br /> <br />10. CRAWL HOLE. Provide an access crawl hole to the <br />underfloor space. The minimum size opening required is <br />18 inches by 24 inches. [Sec. 409.2] <br /> <br />11. FLOOR JOISTS. Joists under parallel bearing <br />partitions shall be doubled, a beam of adequate size or <br />other approved method for provided bearing shall be <br />provided. Double joists which are separated to permit <br />the installation of piping or vents shall be solid <br />blocked spaced a maximum of 4 feet on center. [Sec. <br />502.3.2] This applies at interior bearing wall between <br />the master bedroom and the master bath as this was not a <br />bearing wall with the old layout and design of the <br />manufactured home. <br /> <br />12. FLOOR SUPPORT. Provide support under both the <br />existing and the new floor joists. Retain the piers <br />under the existing steel chassis of the manufactured <br />home. <br /> <br />13. ENGINEERED LATERAL DESIGN. Ail new construction on <br />this structure uses an Engineered Design to meet the <br />lateral wall bracing requirements of the code. Insure <br />that all detailed construction requirements shown on the <br />plans and in the engineering are followed. <br /> <br />14. THE HOLDDOWNS required by the engineer for this <br />project require placement of reinforcing in the <br />foundation. Install reinforcing as per the holddown <br />manufacture's written installation instructions. THE <br />REINFORCING SHALL BE PERMANENTLY IN POSITION AND A COPY <br />OF THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE AVAILABLE FOR <br />THE INSPECTOR AT THE FOOTING/FOUNDATION INSPECTION. <br />Installation instructions are available wherever <br />holddowns are sold. <br /> <br />15. ROOF DIAPHRAGM. The roof diaphragm is being used to <br />meet part of the lateral wall bracing requirements of the <br />structure. Insure that all construction requirements in <br />the engineering and on the enclosed detail sheets are <br />met. The roof shall be sheathed with plywood as <br />required by the engineering and nailed at 6" o.c. at the <br />edges and 12" o.c. in the field. Connections between the <br />roof/ceiling and walls shall be as shown on the enclosed <br />detail. <br /> <br />16. HEADERS. Provide headers in all new interior and <br />exterior bearing walls. <br /> <br /> <br />
