Both mezzanines are greater than <br /> one-third of the floor area, therefore reviewed as a story. <br /> <br />18. GROUP F OCCUPANCIES DEFINED, (OSSC Sec 306i <br /> Group F Occupancies shall include the use of a building or <br /> structure, or a portion thereof, for assembling, disassembl- <br /> ing, fabricating, finishing, manufacturing, packaging, <br /> repair or processing operations that are not classified as <br /> Group H Occupancies. Factory and industrial occupancies. <br /> DIVISION I - Moderate-hazard factory and industrial use, <br /> i.e., aircraft, machinery, metal. <br /> DIVISION 2 - Low-hazard factory and industrail use, i.e,, <br /> steel products/fabrication and assembly. <br /> <br />19. GROUP S OCCUPANCIES DEFINED. (OSSC Sec 311i <br /> Group S Occupancies shall include the use of a building or <br /> structure, or a portion thereof, for storage not classified <br /> as a hazardous occupancy. <br /> DIVISION 2 - Low-hazard storage occupancies, used for <br /> storage of noncombustible materials. Such products may have <br /> a negligible amount of plastic trim such as knobs, handles <br /> or film wrapping. <br /> <br />20. SPECIAL HAZARDS. (OSSC Sec 304.6. 306.8 & 311,8i <br /> Storage and use of flammable and combustible liquids shall <br /> be in accordance with the Fire Code, <br /> Devices generating a glow, spark or flame capable of <br /> igniting flammable vapors shall be installed such that <br /> sources if ignition are at least 18 inches above the floor <br /> of any room in which Class I flammable liquids or flammable <br /> gases are used or stored. <br /> Stationary lead-acid battery systems used for facility stand <br /> by, emergency power or uniinterrupted power supplies shall <br /> be installed and maintained in accordance with the Fire Code <br /> <br />21. SPECIAL HAZARDS, cont'd. <br /> Buildings erected or converted to house high-piled <br /> combustible stock or aerosols shall comply with the Fire <br /> Code, <br /> Equipment. machinery or appliances that generate finely <br /> divided combustible waste or that use finely divided <br /> combustible material shall be equipped with an approved <br /> method of collection and removal. <br /> <br />22. FLOORS IN RESTROOMS. (OSSC Sec 807i <br /> Toilet romm floors shal~ have a smooth, hard nonabsorbent <br /> surface such as portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or <br /> other approved material that extends upward onto the walls <br /> at least 5 inches. <br /> <br />22. WALLS IN RESTROOMS. (OSSC SEC 807i <br /> Walls within 2 feet of the front and sides of urinals and <br /> water closets shall have a smooth, hard nonabsorbent surface <br /> of portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or other smooth, <br /> hard nonabsorbent surface to a height of 4 feet and except <br /> for structural elements, the material used in such walls <br /> shall be of a type that is not adversely affected by <br /> moisture.
