analysis documents the fact that Pence/Kelly Inc. of Salem, <br />Or. is the lowest bidder. <br />On Feb. 11 at noon the Citizens Advisory Committee met <br />and considered the staff recommendations and are also <br />recommending the award with alternates as contained in <br />this recommendation and on the attached bid summary <br />sheet. <br />This bid award with alternates that totals $18,459,484.00 <br />is substantially below our previous estimate of cost of <br />construction ($3.8million lower). <br />The contract with the contractor has already been <br />developed, reviewed and approved by both the Transit <br />District and County Legal Counsels. We included the <br />agreement in the bid specifications and the contractor had <br />the opportunity to review it in the context of putting ~ <br />together their bid proposal. So othe tha ~including the name <br />of contractor, bid amount with alternates the agreement <br />should be relatively easy to put in place. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
