From: Patti MILNE
To: BWASSON
Date: 3/16/99 12:16pm
Billy,
Thank you for getting the letter done. I understand it was delivered to the
businesses, right?!
Also, I would like to bring together the business folks for a continental
breakfast or brown bag lunch or perhaps invite them to the next meeting
between our board and the transit board.
Randy, Mike and i feel this would be benifical in our effort to be a"good
neighbor." Anything we can share with the business people in an effort to
help them deal with the construction, I think we must do. Going over a
calendar of events with them to help them understand what to expect at various
points along the way of the construction could answer some of their questions
and concerns as it relates to running their businesses.
We need to provide them an opportunity for questions and answers from
Pence/Kelly, from the city, from transit, from the county -- I'm sure they
have many questions! This will help them answer questions their customers are
going to have.
We all know the lack of parking and general disruption is going to affect
business in this downtown area. Whatever we can do to make it more pleasant,
I feel we must do.
Please let me know what you suggest. I'd like to do something with the
business folks as soon as possible now that work has begun.
Thank you,
Patti
CC: RFranke,MRyan,JDavis,RCurtis
