These elements include: <br />• Streetscape improvements fronting Chemeketa Street; <br />• Weather protection fronting Chemeketa Street; <br />• Temporary sidewalk and improvements of the north block area <br />pending its redevelopment; <br />• Removal of transit transfer facility with restoration of street surface <br />and parking on High Street; and <br />• Change orders for participation elements. <br />To date, cost estimates for the above activities have not been estimated by the <br />project architectural/engineering team. <br />Question 2: <br />What is the status of the Marion County Commitment of lottery funds for the <br />Riverfront Park project? <br />Response: <br />Marion County initially pledged a total of $450,000 from their receipt of lottery funds <br />to development of the Riverfront Park. The contribution was proposed to be made <br />in three installments. To date, the City has received $187,500. On August 13, <br />1999, the City was informed that the Marion County Board of Commissioners voted <br />to hold any further disbursements to the City of Salem for the Riverfront Project <br />until Marion County has a chance to review completed Phase 2 plans and approve <br />the purposes for which the video lottery money will be applied to the Phase 2 plan." <br />
