DOWNTOWN FACILITY SUB-COMMITTEE <br />June 22, 1994 <br />There was considerable discussion on the population and employment <br />growth used in the consultant's report. It seemed logical to use <br />the Projection A growths recommended by the consultant. That will <br />provide a practical basis from which to make our recommendations. <br />If it proves tp be too low, there will always be the option of <br />renting more space, and if it is too high, the county can rent out <br />the excess. In any event, it will provide a sound basis from which <br />to move forward. <br />We looked at the adjacency recommendations in.the report. The <br />logic of most of the recommendations seemed sound, but there were <br />a couple that did not look right. For example, the Clerk's office. <br />The Clerk has recently expressed a desire to have offices out of <br />the downtown area. Ken will check with the heads of those <br />departments to make sure they should be downtown.
