Courts and Court Securitv
I am not clear on the cost figures. I agree we should include the basic costs
instead of just citing the cost difference between options (this was discussed at
the last meeting). The last information I have is $19.6 million for a new building of
90,000 square feet, or renovation of the current court house at 55.5 million. Also
the summary does not mention the District Attorney or Sheriff's Office and the
relationship to the Downtown and Public Safety Facility projects.
Corrections fJail)
The summary does not include the cost of improvements deferred until the next
building project at or near that cite. The approximately $2.4 million required for
streets, sewer, water, and other utilities is included in the Public Safety Facility
project cost. The summary also does not mention the other relationships (space
and consolidation) involving Corrections and the Sheriff's Office to the Public
Safety Facility.
Downtown Facilities
Does the Sheriff's Office have space in this project if the Public Safety Facility
doesn't get built and the courts displace them?
IFCCOMME.1
