COST <br />~ Building <br />• Approximate $2mm for a 18,000 gross square foot building. <br />(This estimate takes into account the 14,600 square feet recommended by the <br />facilities consultant for needed work area, the approximate 2,300 square feet of <br />space required to include the administrative staff and supervisors from the Roads <br />division, the extra common space needed that would otherwise be provided in a <br />larger facility and space required for basic building operations, ie: ventilation <br />equipment, utility closets, etc.) <br />~ Grounds <br />• Upgrade septic and water systems. (The current water system is in <br />need of work, but could facilitate a new building. There would have to be some <br />septic changes made at the site. Approaching the city of Salem to provide water <br />and sewer service extraterritorially would also be considered.
