2. Boot Cover Removal: Remove disposable tyvek boot covers, and deposit in <br />container with plastic liner. <br />3. Outer Boot Wash: The worker will stand in a shallow tub, and outer boots will <br />be scrubbed in detergent solution. Another shallow tub will be used to rinse. <br />4. Outer Glove Removal: Remove tape around gloves and nitrile outer gloves and <br />deposit in container with plastic liner. <br />~ 5. Canister or Face Mask Change: If a worker leaves the exclusion zone to change <br />I a canister or mask, this is the last station for the decontamination procedure. <br />~ The worker's canister or mask is exchanged, new outer gloves and boot covers <br />donned, joints taped, and worker returned to duty. <br />6. Outer Boot Removal: Remove tape around leg cuffs and deposit in container <br />~`~ with plastic lining. Remove chemical resistant outer boots. <br />7. Outer Garment Removal: Remove tyvek or tyvek/saranex suit and deposit in <br />container lined with pfastic. <br />8. Face Protection, Respirator Removal: Respirator, safety glasses, and goggles are <br />removed, and wiped to remove any adhering soil or dust. <br />9. Inner Glove Removal: Latex inner gloves are removed and deposited in lined <br />container. <br />Soiled disposable items will be disposed of at a sanitary landfill, unless they are known to be <br />contaminated with significant amounts of long-lived contaminants, such as asbestos or toxic <br />metals. <br />1.6 Emergency Plan <br />The site is located approximately miles of , , <br />at . The site is located in a <br />setting consisting mainly of and is accessible from <br />(street/road/avenue/highway). A portable telephone may be located at the work area in case <br />of emergency. When deemed necessary by the HSO contact with local emergency medical <br />services will be made prior to the start of field work. EMS will be given a brief description of <br />the work to be performed, and the potential hazards at the site. <br />First aid equipment will be available at the facility during the field work. Recommended first <br />aid procedures for the potential chemical hazards at the site are listed below: <br />1. Eye Contact: If contaminated soil or dust comes in contact with the eye, wash <br />immediately with large amounts of water and continue flushing for at least 15 minutes, <br />occasionally lifting upper and lower lids. Medical attention should be sought <br />immediately. Contact lenses should not be worn on site. <br />8 <br />
