The <br />I~ED criteria oudines spocifications in spocific az+eas to sustain site ocology, impr~ve <br />- -'- eaetgy ~-tfficiency, `safeguard water; cnhance iridoor enviromnents ~ and ` conserve <br />materials. In each of these areas, points for meeting the critcria are given. Tlie ~points <br />are added up and differeiit certifications are given based on the number of points ~ ~ <br />-~ obtained.
