My final concern relates to the Community Development Center (Ticor). There is no reason
at the moment to consider moving from this building. The Community Development
Department is very happy with their new facility and would not consider moving unless a
new site maintains or enhances their service operations.
We want the transit district to operate in the location that best meets the needs of our
citizens. I certainly agree that the Senator Block can meet this need. However, I also
believe the Washington Mutual site is a viable alternative and should be given careful
consideration in the event the Senator Block is proven not feasible. ~The Senator Block is an
important asset to the County and downtown Salem and must be treated as such in any
consideration that requires us to abandon this site for another location.
C: Board of Commissioners
Craig Luedeman
