Zlp Code 97307 CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE Telephone (503) 588-6255 On November 3, 1997, Salem City Council received the attached letter from a business constituent conceming the Courthouse Square Project. In its discussion, the City Council addressed the City's potential participation in the project through its Urban Renewal Agency, and adopted the following motion: Direct staff to (1) provide Council with a review of the financial information of the project as contemplated in the November, 1996, Council action; and (2) define the scope of the project as it now exists in contrast to its scope when the last council action was taken in November, 1996. On behalf of the City Council, please provide the following documents and analysis necessary to fulfill City Council's directive: A copy of the most current agreement(s) between Marion County and Salem Area Transit District for the development, management and financing of the Courthouse Square project. 2. A copy of the agreement with private developedmanaging partner Mr. Dan Berrey, including any agreement to terminate his services. A copy cf the agreement wi;h project manager Melvin PAark and Associates. 4. The financial proforma comparing project construction cost, financing profile, maintenance, operation and debt service projections for the project as of November, 1996, compared to the revised project as it exists today. 5.
