some knockouts in the plan during this preplanning phase for potential costs savings now. We
don't want to overlook this aspect.
~,,~ Signage
R.G. reported that all artwork for Courthouse Square logo is completed and working on having
flag prepared. Dan added that they will provide design spec from Robert Duncan building to
use as example for e~erior signage by tenants. Owner will want to include control over signage
in their retail leases that are signed by prospective tenants.
Building System
Leonard received a letter from PGE a,nd is working with Interface to define service. Byron
cautioned that we need to get PGE to qualify costs involved and risk of project and work with
Interface to give them warning for cost on this item. Leona.rd will get Interface to work on load
description and send letter to PGE.
There is nothing new on natural gas at this point. Bruce has not responded to Byron. Natural
gas is the more expensive way to go on reheat system over electrical. We want to ask Interface
to give us a cost differential between electrical and gas. The use of space won't change
dramatically in 10-20 yeazs and natural gas has potential to save more money over the long run.
Interface needs to analyze what rate schedule will be used and look at both electrical and natural
gas. Let's list this as an option as a possible costs savings item. If things get tight, we will
want to have costs on both options and then we can determine which is best approach. The
action item for R.G.'s portion is complete and now Byron will continue with contacting NWNG.
When we know what the differential is, we can provide the basic information to Randy and R.G.
~ to work with Northwest Natural Gas. Important point if just kilowatt to gas differential then
we have to do kilowatt penalty cost analysis to 0. Interface would need some involvement ~
The radio station needs are very minor but will require a separate meter. Their service
requirements will be a different set up from regular 8-5 customers. To be able to differentiate
their usage would be helpful for full service leases that we aze looking at implementing.
Electrical will be metered separately for all first floor area tenants. Other item to use will be
heat pump system. We need to talk about how we get there, where drop is and count on it being
in a certain place would be enough.
Architectural
The security system is being worked on. The size of restrooms may change with P 1 level. It is
being worked on and not yet fine tuned.
New Issues
Dave had one issue regarding life safety generators and evacuation. We will ask Interface to
coordinate needs with the city.
Ne~rt Thursday's meeting will be at the courthouse in Risk Management Conference Room A at
1:30 p.m.
