If this <br />can be done without increasing costs and it clears structural people, the county is okay with these options. <br />Noise and security will be the two main issues to address regarding skylights and openings oh 3rd & 4w <br />floors. , <br />4th floor discussions involved layout for conferencing center and space allocated for Transit offices. A <br />couple of options are being considered. Transit requirements are at 16,150 gsf, and Board o~ <br />Commissioners were approximately 8,000 gsf. Logistics need to be finalized for office layduts. <br />Plans are underway by the architect to work with blending the outside of the building with su~roundings. <br />The option of a roof terrace was discussed and possibiliTy of not having a tenace with access.i All of these <br />factors will need to be incorporated in Curt's GMP and will influence how Pence Kelly will l~id the project. <br />Architect will be supplying drawings to Curt to help in the GMP's preparation. ', <br />Curt had two issues to address, de-watering and street scape. The de-watering portion will n~ed to be a <br />part of the construction package if you want it designed before hand. The street scape is incl~ded in the <br />budget and part of the project ($219,000). The city will be billed separately for this portion o~ the budget. <br />The idea of settin~ up a day's retreat for all parties to meet and discuss the project was agreea~le to <br />everyone. It was sug?ested that this wait to take place until after June l, when the new project manager <br />will be on board. <br />Our weekly meetings are a great concept and the dialogue is productive with our group working together. <br />~ Randy and RG are working to sort out Dan's budget. RG also announced that they have rece~ved their <br />federal funds and the dollars are in the bank. Leonard said Dan's approach was from worki~g with retail <br />space. County and Transit can't subsidize private space. We need to know methodology on ow to break <br />out the different components. If we know real numbers on GMP for mall and real numbers f r office <br />spaces, then County and Transit can work out a formula to split costs. FTA has given Transi the ability <br />to do this.
