traffic to the corner. With the bus and parking traffic, we are going to load the corner of
Chemeketa and High, especially when they are turning south onto High Street. Church Street is
~ under utilized. Routing traffic south onto Church would enhance the building. The cost
becomes an issue when we configure the signals for the busses. We need to know where the city
stands and the cost.
ACTION: Len will address the configuration of signals at Court and Church to the city.
ITEM 3: Property Acquisition
The remaining two properties are in escrow. The papers are ready to go. Randy will sign them
tomorrow. Dan will contact
the contractor for the building they are moving into. If the building is not ready for occupancy,
we will have to go in with an eviction notice on the 21 st.
One tenant in the Liu Building is not cooperating. He has taken a position that since Marion
County does not own the building, he does not have to acknowledge our 90 day notice. Dan said
that under the Relocation Act, we are giving him adequate notice. His request for $4,800.00 has
been approved. If he is not out by the 90 days, we will go in with an eviction.
Relocation Benefit Documentation: Once the relocation is complete, Elyn will file this.
Real Property Tax Relief: Randy will have Elyn get the paperwork to Dan for the Real
Property Tax Relief on the Dog Control site.
ITEM 4: Demolition and Abatement
Tuesday, April 1, 9:00 a.m. was confirmed as the time to review the bids.
Jim Sears will contact Debbie Allen, to have his own staff involved in the project. This will give us time to review
and prioritize the bids and determine which we want to focus on.
ITEM 5: Financing
~ A new 90 day budget will be complete next week.
