' Disposal of Soil ' Dan reported that Kathleen has met with Solid Waste to get a cost for isposal of the contaminated soil. She was quoted $32.00 to $35.00 per tone, plus trucking at $.00 a ton. She says that the market rate is between $25 -$30 a ton. Dan said that when you tru k contaminated soil to another site, you inherit the liability on that soil. The percentage of liabi~ity is relatively small, but the liability does go to the county. ' ACTION: Randy will step in and try to negotiate a better rate with Solid VfJaste. ITEM 2: GMP '~~ Dan introduced the subject of the GMP. He reported that Curt has ob ined a bid of $22,623,751. Dan has added back cost saving ideas of $3,229,510 for a total f$26,757,041. Dan said that we need to assess who will be responsible, among the players, f r the shell cost.
