~ 1
~ Customer notification: Randy asked for a list of all the departments effected by the move and
their new locations. As departments are moving out, signs will be posted on each door of the
Senator Building to notify customers of the move. When demolition begins, Randy will have large
signs posted at each corner of the block.
ACTION: Bob will have Dan make large signs for each door.
Randy asked staff to begin putting notices on all outgoing correspondence and to post information
throughout the building. Randy or Sue McCracken will arrange to get an article in the Statesman
Journal with information on which departments have moved and the addresses of their new
locations.
Randy asked for a staff ineeting of HR and Admin. staff to continue the discussion around the move.
This will take place at the HR staff ineeting on 3/14 10:30 - noon.
ACTION: All HR and Admin. staff inembers should visit the fifth floor space prior to this
meeting.
ITEM 2: Block Demolition
Randy reported that letters are being sent to all the block tenants today.
~r ACTION: Elyn will get the same letter out to departments located in the building.
On 3/17, contractors will be going through the buildings to bid on salvage, abatement and
demolition. Kathleen Thorpe and a maintenance staff worker will be accompanying the contractors.
ACTION: Bob will arrange to have a maintenance staff person accompany the contractors on
3/17.
ITEM 3: Best Building
Randy has asked the departments to have their floor plans to Dan by next Friday. He asked if we had
any issues with the city for issuing an occupancy permit. Bob doesn't think there are any issues, as
we are not putting up any walls or adding any electrical, other than cable.
ACTION: Randy will call Dan Berrey to arrange to get the keys to Best.
ACTION: Bob will check with Dan to see what permits and inspections may be needed.
Data: Elyn reported that the committee meets again today, at 3pm. It has been determined
that fiberoptic will not work. They are evaluating two bids for microwave. Both bidders are
guaranteeing set up within 45 days.
~
