David had received a copy of these materials from Kathleen denoting <br />Marion County salvage items. <br />There is a need for someone from facilities management to be working on site with <br />Kathleen and monitoring the abatement process. Randy and Tracy both cited an incident <br />that occurred and was corrected involving missing equipment. There is a great need to <br />protect salvage rigbts of Marion County during the abatement and demolition phases. <br />Marion County should be taking the lead in monitoring this phases of the project. <br />Mike stated that they will have to work jointly with the contractors. There is need for a <br />joint meeting to coordinate all efforts between facilities management, abatement <br />contractor and demolition contractor <br />ACTION: David will set up this meeting to include Bob and Kathleen as well. <br />Project Manager <br />With Dan Beney phasing out of the project, we need to work on the rfp to find a project <br />manager to replace Dan. How do we recruit that person? RG and Ra.ndy both fielded <br />calls yesterday re: interested parties looking for an opportunity to fill this position. <br />There is need for a project management company to come on board right away. It may <br />help us solve ow coordination problems discussed earlier. Discussion was held <br />involving timeframe and steps necessary to recruit this position and the urgency <br />involved. David indicated you were looking at minimum of one month to go through the <br />recruiting process. <br />ACTION: Randy's first priority will be to work on getting specifics for the project <br />manager position together so we can get rfp ready in order to have an ad ready to be <br />placed by next week. <br />Discussion was held as to what could be done in the interim. Kathleen and Jeff should be <br />able to manage abatement portion and the demolition may be the bigger portion. We <br />might need to consider an interim agreement to casry us through until we can bring <br />someone on board. Centurywest has someone on staff to handle the demolition phase <br />and could be an option for us as a possible backup. <br />Elyn asked if we have a signed contract with Centurywest yet. David reported that it is <br />being worked on and should have it shortly. <br />Maybe things will be clearer as to what our needs will be in the interim after the <br />~ abatement and demolition contractors meeting takes place. We need to work towards <br />covering ourselves to June 1. <br />
