The architect has been given a`standard' for an office for an <br />elected official and department heads; another `standard' has beue e se1,000 squaref eet; <br />office. There are three categories of conference rooms se g <br />medium - 500 square feet; and small - 300 square feet. An example: the Board of <br />Commissioners would have 4 offices for elected officials, 3 offices for managers, plus <br />one medium conference room and one small conference room plus the general work area. <br />There has been a`standard' created for a breakroom. This will allow the architect to <br />allocate areas of space within each department to provide a base drawing for the <br />departments to then negotiate their spac~ able to fit all~county offices in oeone floo~r <br />also consider adjacency issues. Ra.ndy <br />based on net square footage required, but not sure this will be the approach that is taken. <br />ACTION: Peggy work with Ra.ndy to set date and send out notifications to department <br />heads for planned meeting. Dan needs to plan on attending this meeting as well and to <br />keep abreast of progress as we move through this process. He will need to be involved <br />later on in set up of computer workstations, telephones, etc. <br />NEW PROJECT MANAGER <br />We opened the RFP proposals on Monday. We received twelve proposals. Randy and <br />RG have gone through all of the proposals and have developed a tentative list of five <br />good proposals. We will be doing more research today and could possibly shorten the <br />list to less than five. We are planning to schedule interviews next week. We are <br />looking to fast track this process and be ready to have someone on board by June 1. <br />COURTHOUSE PLANS <br />Randy is still looking to obtain copies of plans for the 18` and 5`~ floors of the Courthouse <br />building as well as for solid waste area to have as reference for basic plan setup for new <br />tenants at Courthouse Square. <br />ACTION: Bob and Dan will obtain these plans for Ra.ndy. <br />BUILDING CONIlVIISSIONING AGENT RFP <br />Bob has a meeting scheduled with Leonard Lodder from Arbuckle Costic this aftemoon <br />on the selection process for a building commissioning agent. Randy has put $80,000 <br />into the budget to cover this position. <br />SENATOR BLOCK <br />Elyn reported that the last tenant has moved and we have gained access to the last <br />apartment in the Liu building yesterday. <br />Discussion was held as to why a portion of the building (old Jr. Bootery area) had a <br />section of the sidewalk area blocked off.
